Badline…Badaline!
Everyday Allison continues to learn new words. Her latest trick is reach for her favorite book right before bedtime. The book is called Carl’s Masquerade- a story about how Carl the dog takes Madeleine a baby to a party. Anyway, Allison now reaches for the book, smiling at me and calling “Badaline!!” When she gets really worked up, she’ll yell “Bad!” or “Badline!”
Yesterday she surprised us even more. I was outside trimming hedges, and Steve was trying to change her clothes and put on her shoes. To help expedite matters, he decided to skip socks and put her shoes directly. Allison told him, “socks!”
10th Anniversary
Since we’ve been asked, I should mention that Steve and I celebrated our 10th anniversary a couple weekends ago. We had always discussed going on a big trip to celebrate, but with two kids now we ended up going to Seattle instead. Mom babysat the kids for the night. We went to the W (had a gift certificate) and the Union Square Grill (yum) for dinner and downtown shopping. The waiter at the grill was extremely nice, bringing us a surprise, complimentary cheesecake dessert. The next morning we hit our favorite brunch spot (Cafe Flora), did a little more shopping/browsing and headed home.
